What was created at our first Let’s Hack Melbourne?

We had our very first Let’s Hack Melbourne and saw these apps created in under 6 hours!

Beach Brick – Break Out Game for the iPad – Made in under 5 hours at Let’s Hack Melbourne by Ivan & Jess
EyeSay – Prototype for a Location Based App for the iPhone / Android with an Augmented Reality Version by Tom, John, James and Drew
ZombieHood – Google Maps Mashup Zombie Locator for the web by Jess, Will, Andrew, Mitch and Tammy

If you want to make awesome stuff really fast come along to one of our monthly events in Melbourne, Australia.

There are game devs, web devs, graphic designers, thinkers and awesome snacks! :)

Let’s Hack Melbourne

This weekend we have our very first Let’s Hack Melbourne event!

We are lucky to have the event hosted by Inspire9 in Richmond.
It’s from 11-4pm on Sunday.

We aren’t sure yet what will be created! Participants will be working in teams of 3 or 4 to make something that can be presented at 3.30pm. Each team will have 5min to show their creation and the group that gets the most votes will get a prize!

Photos and videos will be uploaded shortly after the event so look out for those too.

In the future we will be looking at having themed events and getting some great speakers along to come and share their knowledge and experiences!

Last week for the App My State comp!

I have been thinking about what sort of apps I might like to create before the comp closes on Friday….

I’ve got loads of different ideas. A lot of them are around recycling and the environment.
